Merry Christmas
It's our first tree!  Christian insisted we find a tree that was taller than himself.  We just didn't realize how big it would be once all the limbs relaxed.  I guess it's a good thing the tree is large though so all of our ornaments can fit.  Lucky me, no one else was interested in my Grandma Louise's old Christmas things.  I had been collecting my own Christmas decorations for a little while and the colors I had chosen were red and turquoise, which just so happened to be the same colors my Grandma had chosen years and years ago.

You are a beautiful girl! I love watching you sing and interact with your family, especially your dad. You brighten every room you enter. You have the cutest clothes. You are always smiling and laughing. Whenever I see you perform, I get choked up inside because I am filled with so much joy.

My favorite memory of you happened a few months ago. We were at one of our family parties and I was watching you and your dad from a distance. I don't remember exactly what you were doing together but some type of cute teasing. You had your arms around one another and you were both laughing SO hard. I loved the ease and comfort between the two of you. I loved the closeness. I loved witnessing a perfect daddy-daughter relationship. I could see in your faces that you adored and loved each other. I knew that your relationship with one another was so special and that it always will be.

You are such an example to me. I hope that my light can shine as bright as yours and that I can live my life without fear as you have lived yours. I love you Sophie Rose and I will always miss you.
